Jan De Witte has been President
and CEO of Performance Solutions since May 2010, responsible for building GE
Healthcare’s knowledge solutions capabilities into a new growth business that
provides new ways of organizing, measuring, and managing health care delivery
over the full cycle of care to drive better cost, quality and access.
In April 2011, Jan was named to
the additional role of President and CEO of Healthcare IT, a $1.4 billion
segment of GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare IT is a global leader in delivering
information technology solutions that support high-quality and cost-effective
care through business, clinical, and imaging applications covering settings
from the physician office to the integrated delivery network.
As CEO of these advisory and
technology businesses, Jan will enable them to synchronize their strategies and
common areas of cooperation, positioning GEHC as a unique partner to the
healthcare industry.
Jan has served in a number of
strategic technology and business leadership roles since he joined GE in 1999.
He has a diverse background in services, digital business strategy, supply
chain, manufacturing, quality and Lean Six Sigma. Previously Jan led GE
Healthcare’s $1.2 billion Services business across Europe, the Middle East,
Africa and Asia, a role that also oversaw the company’s regional Healthcare IT
businesses.
Prior to GE, Jan held a variety
of operational management positions in supply chain and manufacturing at
Procter & Gamble in Europe. From 1993 to 1998 Jan served as Senior
Consultant with McKinsey & Company in Brussels, Amsterdam, and Zurich in
business strategy development and performance improvement, serving clients in
airline, process and high tech industries across Europe.
Jan is a GE Officer. He
graduated with the greatest distinction from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven
(Belgium) in 1987 with a Master of Science Degree in Electro-Mechanical
Engineering. Jan earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1993.
