  • Identify and define the properties of contrast media. 
  • Explain the factors that affect the osmolality of contrast media. 
  • Discuss the importance of screening patients prior to injecting them with iodinated contrast. 
  • List several disease processes that may put the patient at risk for contrast-induced nephropathy. 
  • Discuss treatment options for anaphylactoid-type reactions
