Veo*

Veo, our newest dose technology, is available as an option on Revolution HD and Revolution GSI. It is the world’s first model-based, iterative reconstruction product. By combining sophisticated algorithms and advanced computing power, Veo may enable reduction in pixel noise standard deviation. The Veo reconstruction algorithm may then allow for reduced mA or kVp in the acquisition of diagnostic images, thereby reducing the dose required4. Also, Veo reconstruction may enable improvement in low contrast detectability and spatial resolution. It has the capability to reduce low signal artifacts generated by dense anatomy or metal implants compared to FBP5. This exceptional technology may allow you to achieve imaging under 1mSv with profound clarity.

ASiR*

Low dose scanning historically may have raised questions related to the diagnostic quality of the resultant images. However, our industry-exclusive Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASiR) may help clinicians achieve confident diagnosis with lower dose4. ASiR, the first iterative reconstruction technology, may enable reduction in pixel noise standard deviation, and its reconstruction algorithm may allow for reduced mA in the acquisition of diagnostic images, thereby reducing the dose required4. ASiR may also enable an improvement in LCD4. Combine ASiR with SnapShot Pulse* for even further dose reduction in cardiac exams.

Optidose*

Optidose technology adds further dose reduction capabilities along the imaging chain. It features SmartTrack* dynamic collimation to limit penumbra and helical over-scanning, 3D automatic dose modulation, ECG dose modulation, and X-ray filtration for small to large patients.

Dose Check*

Dose Check

Dose Check alerts you when a pre-determined dose level will be exceeded. A prompt alerts your operator to the situation. The operator can then either change the scan or override the notification. 4. In clinical practice, the use of ASiR and Veo may reduce CT patient dose depending on the clinical task, patient size, anatomical location and clinical practice. A consultation with a radiologist and a physicist should be made to determine the appropriate dose to obtain diagnostic image quality for the particular clinical task.

1. Low contrast detectability (LCD), image noise, spatial resolution and artifacts were assessed using reference factory protocols comparing ASiR-V and FBP. The LCD measured in 0.625 mm slices and tested for both head and body modes using the MITA CT IQ Phantom (CCT183, The Phantom Laboratory), using model observer method.
