Exceptional clinical decision support

The Medical Quality Improvement Consortium from GE Healthcare is a community of over 500 customers who contribute de-identified patient clinical data to a centralized data warehouse to enable quality benchmarking, Meaningful Use reporting, public health reporting, and research opportunities. Data from over 25,000 providers and approximately 30 million unique patient records are represented in the data warehouse today. 

Clinicians and practices can benchmark their performance on quality measures against recognized standards, and the reports can be used to determine whether patients are receiving evidence-based care.    


EMR Module

Centricity Practice Solution is an integrated electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) software solution that shares a single database.  Though designed to work as a single unit, if desired, both modules are able to be used independently.  The software can be bundled with many additional product and service offerings.

Electronic Medical Record Module 

The EMR module offers secure clinical records storage, so practices can capture, store, and transmit essential patient data.  The module automatically updates medication tables, clinical reference information, ICD codes and patient handouts from well-known external resources.  Both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes come pre-loaded in the chart, and are delivered through a dynamic search engine, enabling you to efficiently assign the diagnosis code. The search engine uses an algorithm to both predict search terms and map ICD-9 codes to ICD-10 codes to help aid the transition to the new system. The EMR software also includes quality reports that help simplify Meaningful Use data gathering and help capture your practice performance at the patient level.

Practice Management Module

The PM module includes a powerful financial dashboard and task management for insurance collections. A new guarantor account summary feature includes guarantor information, including associated patients and payment status warnings, a financial summary information for a guarantor account including total balances, aging, and last patient payment, transaction history providing detailed ledger information for each visit within a guarantor's responsibility, and billing notes with security enabled abilities.

In October 2014, US healthcare providers will be required to begin using ICD10 codes.
