Overview

SensorySuite is designed to stimulate a woman’s senses to distract her from the perceived discomfort, pain, and anxiety of a mammogram. SensorySuite lets your patient choose the environmental ambiance she prefers for her mammogram:  Seaside, Garden, and Waterfall. You control the experience you want to offer your patients.

SensorySuite is available for use with existing or new GE Senographe* Essential, Senographe Care or Senographe DS* systems.

Why SensorySuite?

Mammography exams can be perceived as uncomfortable, unnerving and intimidating. One-fourth of all women avoid mammograms out of fear1. Designed to stimulate a woman’s senses simultaneously, SensorySuite can distract her from the perceived discomfort, pain, and anxiety. The goal? Encourage women to get screening mammograms on a regular basis.

Benefits:

  • Helps reduce the fear, worry, and anxiety of getting a mammogram by making the mammography experience less intimidating
  • Encourages women to get screening mammograms on a regular basis
  • Promote the high level of patient care you provide
  • Differentiate your healthcare facility from others in your area

Experience Starts at Home

The SensorySuite experience starts when a woman chooses your facility for her mammogram. She can view an online presentation1, available through your facility’s website, that will help explain and promote your SensorySuite offering. Continues in the waiting room…

Decorative wall panels and a bookmark with a scented bracelet can help set the mood. To help reinforce the experience, she can also visualize her SensorySuite experience on a tablet PC while she waits for her exam.

Culminates in the Exam Room

In the exam suite, the air is infused with a light, calming fragrance, while flat-screen wall monitors display soothing videos and photos, and project relaxing sounds, of her selected ambiance: Seaside, Garden, or Waterfall.

Differentiate Your Facility

With the SensorySuite marketing tool kit1, advertise and promote your SensorySuite solution to women and referring physicians in your community. For example, use the fact sheet and the press release, pictures and videos for local PR activities.
