  • DICOM**  compliant and compatible with many electronic medical record (EMR) systems. 
  • ViewPoint  reporting and image management enables users to create electronic reports that include images and charts, enhancing archiving and physician communications. Early first and second-trimester evaluations

  • VCI (Volume Contrast Imaging) —  helps deliver higher contrast resolution in the acquisition plane, or all three planes of a volume, enabling higher-quality anatomical assessment. 
  • HD-Zoom —  capabilities help users localize regions of interest for closer study. 
  • TUI (Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging) —  helps simplify analysis and documentation of dynamic studies with a simultaneous view of multiple parallel slices of a volume data set.

 

Fetal cardiac assessment

  • STIC (Spatio Temporal Image Correlation) —  enables detailed three-dimensional images of the heart that can be viewed in motion. Clinicians can visualize an entire fetal heart cycle – information that can help improve detection of fetal heart defects. 
  • Anatomical M-mode —  helps improve accuracy of arrhythmia assessments and cardiac measurements. 
  • SonoVCADTMheart (Sonography-based Volume Computer Aided Display) —  helps streamline the acquisition of volumetric images of the fetal heart, displaying all six recommended views with the push of one button, helping clinicians conduct comprehensive exams.
  • Comprehensive cardiac package —  including CW (Continuous Wave Doppler) and ECG (echocardiogram) imaging.

 

Performing complex procedures

The Voluson S8 system provides the sophisticated imaging capabilities that clinicians require for complex diagnostic work-ups and the demands of reproductive medicine, including: 


  • Coded Contrast Imaging —  allows the detection of a contrast agent inside tissue to help enhance visualization and increase diagnostic confidence. 
  • Ultrasound elastography —  a non-invasive, diagnostic technique performed in correlation with conventional B-mode ultrasound. Elastography provides highly-detailed information about internal tissue structures during breast and gynecologic evaluations.

 

Assisted Reproductive Medicine

Among its benefits, 2D/3D and volume ultrasound can help identify endometriosis, the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, and general endometrium thickness. 


Ultrasound pelvic examination can help assess the number of measurable follicles and help monitor follicle development and monitoring.

 

SonoAVCfollicle

SonoAVCTMfollicle is a specialized software program that is designed to semi-automatically calculate the number and volume of hypoechoic structures from a 3D ovarian volume.


SonoAVCfollicle offers a reproducible and efficient way to monitor follicular development in patients undergoing ovarian hyperstimulation. SonoAVCfollicle helps standardize follicular measurements and helps decrease user-to-user variability. This semi-automatic approach can help reduce time for follicular assessment and reporting.

Advanced VCI (Volume Contrast Imaging) with OmniView helps improve contrast resolution and visualization of the rendered anatomy with clarity in any plane, even when viewing irregular shaped endometrium structures.

Virtual Hysteroscopy whereby the endometrium cavity is filled with saline and viewed in 3D Rendering and multiplanar mode - using MagiCut to dissect the volume helps to accurately assess polyps and myomas.

4D imaging mode to help determine the optimal target for transferred embryo placement.

Reporting is an important element of an Assisted Reproductive Medicine business. Voluson systems are DICOM** compliant and compatible with many IT systems, including the GE ViewPoint IT solution.
