New Second Generation Dynamic Rendering Engine

The enhanced Dynamic Rendering Engine and innovative transducers will help provide you extraordinary image quality and seamless operation. 

HDlive – This second-generation rendering tool provides exceptional anatomical realism and helps increase depth perception. Volume SRI (Speckle Reduction Imaging) (V-SRI) – This enhancement provides a new level of speckle reduction utilizing volume/voxels versus traditional single slice imaging. It helps improve 3D/4D quality in multi-planar studies and rendered mode, and also provides an enhanced smoothing effect on rendered images which helps improve diagnostic confidence.

Innovations in transducer technology

New RAB6-D ultra-light volume transducer – User fatigue can be a thing of the past with this next generation volume transducer that is 40% lighter than the previous version. Its ergonomic design provides outstanding image quality in 2D and 3D/4D, features a pinless connector and sits comfortably in the operator’s hand.

New wideband C4-8-D transducer – The high frequency and small footprint of this transducer helps provide exceptional high-resolution obstetrical images during each trimester. 

High resolution 4D endovaginal transducer (RIC6-12D) helps detect the finest details earlier in the first trimester and in gynecology exams 

Wide sector technology from curved array transducers offers a larger field of view, enabling more anatomical information to be displayed 

Matrix array transducers provide increased spatial resolution for better visualization 

C1-5-D abdominal transducer – Image confidently with deep penetration even when scanning large patients

Voluson E8 Expert has been designed with user productivity in mind, and  workflow tools to help enhance efficiency and ease of use. 

Innovations in image automation  

SonoNT (Sonography-based Nuchal Translucency) and SonoIT (Sonography-based Intracranial Translucency) – Voluson technologies that help provide semi-automatic, standardized measurements of the nuchal and intracranial translucency as early as 11 weeks. Both tools can integrate easily into your workflow. SonoNT helps reduce the inter-and-intra-observer variability that comes with manual measurements, and helps provide you with the reproducibility you demand.

SonoBiometry – Performs a semi-automatic measurement of the head (both head circumference and bi-parietal diameter), abdomen and femur. This tool can help enhance clinical workflow through helping reduce keystrokes to perform biometry measurements.

SonoRender Start is an auto-optimization tool that helps you achieve fast access to surface structure rendering while you are performing 3D examinations. 

Sonography-based Automated Volume Count follicle (SonoAVC* follicle) is an innovative software program designed to automatically calculate the number and volume of hypoechoic structures from a 3D ovarian volume.  

Sonography-based Volume Computer Aided Display heart (SonoVCAD* heart) is an innovative tool that assists in generating standard views, including the Aortic Arch algorithm, of a fetal heart from a four-chamber view.  

SonoAVCgeneral helps you visualize and measure hypoechoic structures.  

Innovative tools for a comprehensive exam

E-Series systems have a customizable Scan Assistant tool that gives you the potential to help increase exam consistency and boost productivity by helping to:

Innovations in image analysis

Spatio-Temporal Image Correlation (STIC) captures a full fetal heart cycle beating in real time, and the volume can be saved for offline analysis 

Tomographic Ultrasound Imaging (TUI) helps make analysis and documentation of dynamic studies easier with a simultaneous view of multiple parallel slices of a volume data set 

Voluson E8 has helped transform the structural and functional analysis of the fetal heart with a new dedicated suite of advanced fetal echo imaging technologies that include: 

Advanced STIC (Spatio-Temporal Image Correlation) with STIC M-Mode:  Increased frame rate can result in enhanced fetal heart rate detection 

Advanced STIC plus B-Flow: Angiographic-like display for visualization of the entire cardiovascular system can result in a higher frame rate and enhanced spatial resolution 

Anatomical M-Mode: Arrhythmia assessment and cardiac measurements, performed online or offline

4D View
