President & CEO, GE Healthcare Imaging
Tom McGuinness is the President and CEO of GE Healthcare’s $9B Imaging business, which offers industry-leading technologies and services across MR, CT, PET, Nuclear Medicine, X-Ray, Women’s Health, Interventional, Surgery, imaging analytics and software. He is based at GE Healthcare’s headquarters in Chicago, and joined GE Healthcare as Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer in 2016.
Tom has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across all aspects of the industry, from medical technology and pharma/biotech to providers, payers, clinical research, patient engagement, and digital health. Prior to joining GE, McGuinness was the CEO of PatientPoint, a private equity-owned healthcare technology firm focused on point-of-care physician and patient engagement, as well as care coordination. Before that, he led Medtronic’s global ~$1B Biologics business, and was a partner at McKinsey & Company and a leader in its Healthcare practice based in Chicago.
He holds an MBA with distinction from Kellogg Business School, a master’s degree from Stanford University, and bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.
