This is a 2-day dedicated mini-fellowship in Coronary CTA in the ED course.
Physicians will work with a dedicated Cardiac Imaging team led by Dr. Ricardo Cury
and participate in clinical and teaching activities. Training includes hands-on supervised work in dedicated workstations (GE AW workstation) and observation of live cases using GE CT 750HD High-Definition CT scanner. Over 4000 Coronary CTA studies are performed each year. One of the busiest dedicated Coronary CTA programs in the country is in place covering five Hospitals and several Imaging Centers. Coronary CTA cases include acute chest pain patients from the Emergency Department, outpatients with stable angina and/or non-diagnostic stress test, patients with calcium scores, as well as adults with congenital heart disease. A teaching database is available with over 100 Coronary CTA studies with cardiac catheterization correlation.
