This program is divided into three segments. Segment 1 illustrates the physical principles of radiation dose in computed tomography (CT) imaging. Segment 2 compares dose estimates in standard projection radiography to dose calculations necessary in CT scanning. Segment 3 concludes the program with a discussion of strategies for lowering radiation dose in CT imaging.
